Roundtable is our weekly live session, every Wednesday at 11am online. Small, relaxed and focussed conversations among members and guests.

No pitching, and no agenda beyond honest business talk. It’s where the network becomes a shared experience – complementing the tools and advantages of the platform for full members, or where visiting members and guests can start and build upon quality relationships.

About This Event

The Roundtable sessions take place on a weekly basis at the same time on Wednesdays. It’s a space for you to engage with small, intimate groups of people for the sake of quality, unrushed and natural networking, on a regular basis.

Types of Attendee

Full Members

Full members have the Roundtable sessions as a part of the overall ecosystem of UKN.

A shared, live experience of being part of the network together, beyond one-to-one interactions through the platform, the advanced members directory, messaging/chat system, personal support, and resources – all working together.

Visiting Members

Visiting members are here purely for the Roundtable events. With no pressure to upgrade to Full Membership.

Guests

Members may bring one guest to a session – with a one-time free slot. Or guests can register of their own accord.

Room Details

  • This is an online event, taking place via Microsoft Teams.
  • There’s a maximum of six chairs available for members and guests, per ‘Table’.
  • At the start of an event, attendees are split into Tables (breakout rooms) for the whole session.

NOTE: at the moment there is just one Table since the event only started on the 12th of August. A second Table and beyond will be introduced in the coming weeks and months as more people join.

Agenda

  1. A brief welcome as you arrive and are taken to your Table.
  2. Quick intros are made at your Table (happening naturally as you say hello to each other).
  3. You can use the current week’s suggested ‘Opening Question’ to get the ball rolling.
  4. The session itself: Natural, business related conversation among peers. Kept on track by the simple Roundtable Rules that attendees agree to: Avoid tangents and lengthy small talk, ensure equal airtime for everyone, no pitching.

What to Expect

  • A relaxed space for business chat and peer support. No pitching. No pressure.
  • The chance to begin or deepen relationships with members and guests.
  • Potential introductions, opportunities and support beyond the event for Full Members.
  • Your input helping to shape the future of the event.

The Roster Page

When you register, you have access to the Roster Page where you can view who is going to be attending the next event. The roster gives you attendees’ names, positions, business names, industry, and any introduction paragraph they’ve provided at registration. This list is updated in real-time as people register.

Beyond the Events

You’re free of course to arrange to follow-up with anyone during a discussion.

Full Members have the additional advantage of viewing full profiles and engaging with other full members through the platform, before and after an event.
