The Initiator class is now closed and there will never be more than six Initiator members.
New Members
Starting 23-03-2026, I’m reaching out to professionals in specific industries. The aim is to fill seats with desired attributes and expertise across various categories.
These are the areas of expertise needed.
- Commercial and Contract Law: 1-2 people. Someone who’s seen deals go wrong. Judgment, not just knowledge.
- Finance and Funding: 1-2 people. Capital, growth funding, the UK investment landscape. Someone who’s navigated it personally.
- Strategic Tax: 1 person. R&D credits, EIS, structures for scaling. The specialist who pays for themselves.
- Intellectual Property: 1 person. One is enough if they’re the right one.
- High-Value B2B Sales: 1-2 people. Consultative, trust-based, high-ticket. Rare and genuinely valuable in a space like this.
- Marketing and Positioning: 1-2 people. Authority building, message, being known for the right thing to the right people. Fernanda covers branding.
- PR and Visibility: 1-2 people. Media, reputation, how rooms are entered.
- Operations and Systems: 1 person. Someone who’s actually fixed businesses from the inside. Turns chaos into function.
- People, HR and Employment: 1 person. Hiring, culture, letting go. Sharp given current employment law changes.
- Technology and AI Strategy: 1 person. Not a generalist. The human guide who helps founders make real decisions about technology.
- Executive and Leadership Coaching: 1 person. Works specifically on the executive and decision-making layer. Steve and Jo cover the human side well.
- Health and Physical Performance: 1 person. Energy, sleep, physical resilience. The founder’s engine.
- Exit Planning and M&A: 1 person. The advisor who’s actually navigated exits knows things that no book covers.
- NED and Advisory Board Specialists: 1-2 people. Natural connectors and door-openers, wired for exactly this kind of space.
- Wildcard Seats: 3-5 people. Deliberately uncategorised. The polymath, the disrupter, the person everyone wants to talk to…
Platform and Feature Updates
You may have noticed that the UKNetworker logo has changed, and parts of the platform are gradually transforming in small ways. This is a part of the gradual transformation of the old UKNetworker into the new fellowship. Hopefully the logo better suits everything. The seven nodes on the circle represent the seven pillars of the fellowship, and coincidentally there are actually seven people in the club at the moment…
Monthly Members Meeting
The first ever monthly meeting will be arranged very soon – for the end of March or early April. These meetings will take place online using Google Meet, and all the information is on the way.
Upcoming Votes or Decisions
There isn’t anything to vote on at this stage. In due course a system will be in place on the platform for taking votes on relevant matters.
Stewardship Notes
Preparation is underway for member interviews. This will be a great opportunity to get a professional conversation that showcases your expertise. A professional asset you can use anywhere, included as part of your membership.
Most members have had a briefing call now. In the background, a system is being worked on to aid me in systematically watching the trajectory and aims of your business and career, alongside reaching out to people beyond the club to find the kinds of connections you’re seeking. This is the human intelligence at the centre of the Fellowship. The part no algorithm can replicate.
